The cabinet authorized Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s request on Wednesday that a ministerial committee headed by the prime minister be established to oversee the implementation of the Winograd report recommendations.
In its report on Monday, the Winograd Committee called for "substantial improvement in the functioning of the National Security Council, the establishment of a national assessment team and creating a center for crises management in the Prime Minister’s Office."
