    Memorial Day

    The Middle East Bulletin will not publish an edition this coming Monday because of the Memorial Day holiday. As we approach Memorial Day, we are moved to commemorate the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service to our country. This 139th Memorial Day, we honor the many thousands of brave troops who have paid the highest price fighting for the good of their country. In the last few years, thousands have lost their lives fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their sacrifices are not to be forgotten. Today, close to 200,000 men and women are serving their country in Iraq and Afghanistan. We hope and pray for their safe return. On this day, we honor our fallen soldiers’ commitment to our country and the countless sacrifices they have made and continue to make on our behalf. See Center for American Progress statement.
