Iran expects its willingness to grant more access to U.N. nuclear inspectors will help it avert further U.N. sanctions, the deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said on Tuesday.
Coming a day after U.N. inspectors arrived to discuss better monitoring at atomic sites, Abdolreza Rahmani- Fazli’s comments were seen as the first in which Iran explicitly linked pledges of more openness to hopes of forestalling further penalties.
