Sderot’s parents association announced Thursday it has decided to end the school strike protesting the government’s failure to stop Qassam rocket fired by Palestinian militants at the western Negev city.
The group said school will resume Friday morning and that it put its faith in the Israel Defense Forces in light of an announcement in which safety was entrusted in the hands of the army instead of the local municipality.
Meanwhile, the Defense Ministry said that 15 concrete structures will be placed in open areas across Sderot where residents can take cover in case of an attack.
