Turkey will launch a new diplomatic Middle East campaign during Foreign Minister Ali Babacan’s tour of Israel and Jordan this weekend.
The Middle East peace process and Iraq are on his agenda along with other regional issues. “This trip by Foreign Minister Babacan is to show how Turkey pays great importance to its relations with our neighbors in the region,” said a diplomat to the Turkish Daily News. Babacan is expected to visit eight countries this month, including Iraq.
